Parents, as a reminder about our most subject, Reading. Here are some ways for your child to become a better reader.

• Read every day

• Read out loud with someone else

• Read about things you like

• Take a book or magazine with you wherever you go

• Read everything you can: menus, signs, newspapers, maps, and magazines

• Talk about what you read

• Be proud of your reading accomplishments

Vocabulary is a strong indicator of reading success in school. Reading success is an indication of school success.
